Susan lives in an apartment on the edge of an arboretum in Madison, Wisconsin, with her dog, Cooper. She taught grades one through three in Madison, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; and Grand Rapids, Michigan. She loves being a grandma, long walks in nature, photography (especially birds), gardening, reading, and laughing with friends. She has been afraid of spiders most of her life but has warmed up to them since having a terrifying experience. She is sharing it in this, her first book.
