James Marshall

James F. Marshall is a Wisconsin native who grew up on a dairy farm in Redgranite, Wisconsin. He eventually left the farm and attended the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, obtaining a BS in economics. James planted his roots in Germantown, Wisconsin, and married his wife, Margaret. James is the father of Cynthia and Jonathan. Cynthia and her husband, Joey, are parents to Avery and Kai. Jonathan and his wife, Laura, are parents to Maple and Violet.

James founded Spectrum Investment Advisors in Mequon, Wisconsin, in 1995 and currently resides as the chairman and partner. He has dedicated much of his free time to his community. James is the chairman of Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce Past Presidents, and the president-elect of the OED—Ozaukee County Economic Development. James has a deep appreciation for Warren Buffett’s success and moral code and has applied much of Buffett’s advice to his own life. Having lived through the Korean, Vietnam, and Cold Wars, James has witnessed the valor that the U.S. military men and women hold. James and his four brothers served in the Army Reserve and National Guard during the Vietnam War. He is a proud American who acknowledges the amount of bravery that backs every U.S. citizen’s success.
