Kristin Mitchell is the founder and publisher of Little Creek Press. With more than three decades of experience in graphic design, she owned and operated Kristin Mitchell Design, Inc. for nearly 27 years. Fifteen years ago, she founded Little Creek Press after recognizing a need for a more collaborative, thoughtful approach to publishing—one that pairs professional expertise with respect for an author’s voice, vision, and work.

Today, Kristin leads Little Creek Press with a focus on publishing distinctive, professionally crafted books and building opportunities for them to reach readers. She works closely with authors throughout the publishing process, bringing together editing, design, production, distribution, and the increasingly important work of positioning and discovery. With deep Midwest roots, Little Creek Press is especially proud to champion Wisconsin writers and stories while continuing to grow a diverse catalog of authors and books.

A community builder by nature, Kristin believes strongly in the power of relationships, collaboration, and connection. That philosophy shapes both her work with authors and her involvement in her adopted hometown of Mineral Point. She has served on numerous boards, committees, and community initiatives, bringing people and ideas together to help good work gain momentum.

Kristin currently serves as board chair of the Mineral Point Community Foundation, vice president of the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce and remains actively involved in efforts that strengthen and support the Mineral Point community. Whether she is working with an author, championing a book, or helping advance a community project, her goal is much the same: to nurture what is good, help elevate it, and leave it a little stronger than she found it.
