DESCRIPTION:The Boulder Junction Public Library presents a Book Talk with Sara Rath\, author of the Star Lake mystery series on Monday\, July 21\, 7 pm\, at the Boulder Junction Community Center. \nAward-winning author Sara Rath dives into Hurley history in her newest Star Lake Series mystery\, Accidental Summer\, published by Wisconsin’s Little Creek Press. Join Rath for a discussion of the novel and the true story of Hurley’s 100-year-old unsolved “Lady of the Evening” murder around which her novel revolves. Rath will share how she wove Hurley history through her modern-day suspense story that centers at “The Last Resort” on the fictitious Star Lake. \nA native of Manawa\, Wis.\, Rath earned her undergraduate degree in English from UW-Madison and has an MFA in writing from Vermont College. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Wisconsin Arts Board\, the MacDowell Colony\, and the Ucross Foundation.\nShe still visits the family cabin near Mercer\, where generational ties familiarized her with the natural world of the Northwoods. Married for over 32 years to Del Lamont\, their combined family embraces six children\, 13 grandchildren\, and six great-grandchildren.
